Privacy Policy

Sweep helps you sort, back up, and hide photos. We built it to keep you in control of your data. This policy explains what we collect and why.
What happens on your device
- Sorting your camera roll happens entirely on your device. We read your photo library only to show you photos to sort — nothing is uploaded as part of sorting.
- The private vault stores photos encrypted on your device, protected by Face ID or your passcode. Vaulted photos are never uploaded to us.
- Deleting photos always requires your explicit confirmation through the system dialog.
What we collect (only if you choose to)
- Account information — if you create an account, we store your email address and an account identifier to sign you in.
- Backed-up photos — if you enable Cloud Backup, your selected photo originals and basic metadata (file name, size, dimensions, capture date, and a content hash used for de-duplication) are uploaded to secure cloud storage that only you can access.
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or track you across other apps or websites.
Where your data is stored
Account data and backed-up photos are stored with our backend provider in private, access-controlled storage. Access is restricted to your authenticated account.
Your choices
- Disable backup anytime — new photos won't be uploaded.
- Delete individual backups from within the app.
- Delete your account from Account → Delete account. This permanently removes your account, cloud backups, and associated data.
Children
Sweep is not directed to children under 13.
